The Château de Tracy stands on a rocky spur overlooking the Loire. The 33 hectare estate is situated around the slopes of the Château de Tracy and of Vilmoy, a few kilometres from Pouilly-Sur-Loire.
A manuscript dated from 1396 and preserved in the Château’s archives, mentions the purchase of the Champ de Crix, which to this day is planted with vines and still belongs to the Château.
The family enterprise of today was recreated by the Count and Countess Alain d’Estutt d’Assay in 1952. Three of their children work on the estate and continue the spirit of quality and excellence which has always prevailed.
20 years ago we began to cultivate our vines by respecting the natural balance and rhythms of nature. We favour using natural resources to regulate the ecosystem as well as non-polluting agricultural practices. This has been rewarded by our domain being certified as being of ‘High Environmental Value’.
